About HEAR US PLAY
HEAR US PLAY is an independent music project and a growing archive of original pieces, live performances, improvisations and sound experiments. We are developing it into an independent label and a recording, production and social media partner for musicians.
We work with acoustic instruments, synthesizers, drum machines and field recordings. The music moves between quiet ambient soundscapes, guitar and handpan pieces, and rhythmic electronic sessions. Some recordings are carefully composed; others stay close to the moment in which they happened.
This is a place to listen, explore and follow the creative process. Selected pieces may also be available for use in films, videos, games and other projects. If something fits your work, we'd love to hear from you.
The HEAR US PLAY YouTube channel is the visual showcase for recordings, performances and new releases.
Behind the project
HEAR US PLAY is developed and operated by Denis Sandmann. The public artist identities are kept separate from that name.
Peter Freetime explores techno, trance and psytrance through hardware improvisation. Erik Averdal works with guitar, synthesizer textures and self-recorded samples, moving between intimate guitar pieces and electronic ambient.
