A Conversation in Strings | Playing Guitar & Piano at the Same Time | Erik Averdal
Listen to this piece:
One musician, two instruments, played simultaneously. An instrumental conversation between a Lowden O32C acoustic guitar in DADGAD tuning and an upright piano.
While playing the guitar, Erik Averdal uses his free hand to play the piano, echoing notes and answering melodies in real time.
Both instruments seem to have something to say. The conversation moves through questions, replies, and small disagreements until the guitar gradually takes the lead and gets the final word.
